Location Team Leaders are volunteers that help the D.E.A.F. organization make our members and Deaf community movie going experience enjoyable.

Miss Marsellette, Manhattan, 18 years in NYC. Involved with NYC communities in many activities that are Deaf friendly.
 
Jeanine Byrnes

Jeanine Byrnes is the Program Director and Deaf/Hard of Hearing Services Community Liaison for Mid-Hudson Interpreter Service (MHIS), a program of Taconic Resources for Independence, Inc., located in Poughkeepsie.   As a  passionate and committed advocate for the Deaf/Hard Hearing population in Dutchess County, Jeanine works to educate the public about effective communication strategies for the D/HH community and also provides one-on-one advocacy assistance as well.  Due to her hearing loss, she believes everyone should learn sign language at birth, which she feels will help to bridge the communication gap between the hearing and D/HH populations.
Laura Dreyfus Mrugalski
Westchester
Laura is a Hard-of-Hearing, Speech-Language therapist who has worked in the Speech field for 15 years, 9 of which have been spent working with DHH HS students at a local school for the deaf. She believes ASL should be used with DHH and hearing babies. She believes it is human to sign.

I lived in Washington DC metro area. I graduated at NTID for Data Processing in AAS degree then at RIT for computer technology in Bachelor degree. I worked as computer engineer at IBM then Loral and finally, Lockheed Martin Corp in 28 years. So I took early retirement, then I moved to here as Boynton Beach, Fla, because I am tired of cold weather and snow.. Smileā€¦

Robin has a Masters in Special Education - Deaf Education and ASL Endorsement.  She is currently a South Region Director for Florida American Sign Language Teacher Association (FASLTA) since 2020;  President/Founder of American Sign Language Club of the Treasure Coast since 2013.  Robin a teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in West Palm Beach and lives in Martin County.  Robin used to own a pottery studio for nine years in Port St. Lucie, FL and is familiar with running a businiess.  Robin is married and has an amazing teenage son.
